James and I had a few arguments because apparently I am not very good at explaining myself. The fact that it took 1 of the 3 months I had to prepare to explain that I was not being wishy-washy but in fact being "accommodating" as he put it doesn't help much now. Oh well I really can't dwell on it. I am actually excited about having a small wedding. The more I thought about eloping the more I realized I would regret it. At least this way I can avoid the negatives of having a wedding as well as of eloping. It will just be a few friends and bare bones family, which is nice since I won't have to worry about the drama filled bitch cave that is my family during the holidays.

Still not sure what we are doing for a honeymoon but I will take this one step at a time. I really want James to plan that part since I honestly don't care where we are, it will just be nice to be alone with him again.

At first I wanted to wear jeans... it's just the kind of mood I am in. The more I thought about it the more I want to wear some sort of dress. If for nothing more than having one to be removed afterword.

Type:
I am not sure what kind of dress to go for, I don't want a big ballgown type since I would be painfully overdressed since it's a casual if not nonexistant wedding. It's going to be cold, but I don't want to wear a heavy dress because I sort of have the idea in my head they should be whispy like.

Color:
I've been living with James a little over two years, I think that white is a little out of the question... but is there a standard for first weddings? I was thinking of an actual color... blue? or should I go for skanky ecru?

I assumed it would be rude to register if we eloped. After talking to my grandparents I found out that is what they did, as they phrased it. I shouldn't let not wanting to make a big deal out of things stop my distant aunts from buying me a toaster.

I love their frankness... sometimes.

I want to try to settle on where/how many/what as soon as possible since it's so close. I am not sure how to go about it. Should I just send out announcements instead of invitations to my family... I have been reading different ways people have gone about it. I know that there are a few people who would be disappointed if I didn't send them some sort of notice out of respect, and others I doubt they even knew I wasn't already married.

I am also not sure how James parents are going to take us eloping since that's what his sister did and him mom really wanted one of her (two) kids to have a wedding.

The whole point of us having it so soon is we planned to elope and have a nice honeymoon. However, the reality of how cold December is going to be has sort of killed my idea of anything outdoors. As it stands, we plan to get married before leaving, and at the courthouse is completely out. Even with only 10 or so people attending we need to be somewhere.

My first thought was the chapel on green mountain, it's tiny, but it's outdoors so it would be really cold and messy.

http://www.hsvmuseum.org/Pages/facility_rental.html

This is really the most tempting place at the moment, it's warm, it's near the park and it's cheap.

http://www.burrittmuseum.com/pages/nav_frames/nav_frame_02.htm

Second option bascially same reasons as above except view of the valley.

http://www.thelowryhouse.com/default.html

Not sure about this one, but it would be nice for a smaller place.

http://www.renaissancetheatre.net/
meh
